SideBar Detroit Friends

Welcome to Detroit Friends & Romance.

Well it's been some time since I added anything in here.

First: We are no longer premium, but the rail this message is in stays. A good thing! However, I did have automatic payment for the premium service but I wasn't able to update the credit card info in time before it disappeared. Not a bad thing at all considering nothing will change.... YET!

Second: I've added Party Locations here and updated the list at the test group. There were about 10 more added. More choices for those who still attend and/or schedule parties. ONLY IN THIS GROUP can you add a comment to the Party Location blog. But please only places and addresses not already listed there. Thanks!

Third: For those of you still here and still viewing, again, thank you. With school and now a job, it's really hard to come in here. Especially with all the millions upon millions of homework I'm given.

Blogger is broken again!

What did Blogger break now. Can't see errors, can't find posting options, cannot post in Compose mode at all...

Can't these people do anything right. This whole thing is one big mess. Holy crap, I can't find anything on here. How can I make my font size bigger.

Where is the compose section? I had to type all over the page to find a spot to type in. Ended up having to use the html tab and copying code from a previous blog just to be able to make a new post.

Who is behind all this crap? They sure do NOt know what people want.

Rude Customers

There are people out there who view people as slaves. At work a few weeks ago, there were some customers (or rather over-aged children) who were tossing shoes left and right. Didn't even bother to put them back in their right boxes and left quite a bit on the floor.  I approached them to ask if they needed assistance, and right away they became extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that it was my job to clean up after them, at which time I simply proceeded to finish my job of picking up the department. They followed me and trashed everything that I had just finished. So once again I asked if they needed assistance. Through all this I was actually being polite. They got irate and said that they were going to call my manager... So I did one better. I told them I'm going to call security instead.

They watched to see if I was really going to do that. Which of course I did and within about 10 minutes they left after seeing several people watching them, of which one was the security I called and fianlly they left.

How dare these people come into a store with the attitude that people who work in retail are their personal slaves. Security informed me that they will be on the look out for these ladies in the future. (They couldn't do anything because they didn't buy anything nor remove anything from the store)

However, it turned out they were trying to change the price tags to reflect a chearper price. mixing left and right shoes so there would be 2 lefts in a box, mixing shoe sizes and removing 1 shoe and hiding it in another department or hiding it in a different shoe aisle.

These people had absolutely no manners whatsoever. If I see them again ever during any of my shifts, I'll be calling security right away, even if I see them outside walking into the store.

There were 3 ladies in this little group, one of which did not speak English. Do these people think that because they're rich they can treat others with so much disdain?

No wonder common courtesy and respect are becoming rare attributes in the younger generation.

MORAL: Teach your children morals, to be polite, respectful, and above all to PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES even if they are in a store...

Beware of sites like Pro Design Tools.

Some sites try to scare people in thinking that software that you LEGALLY buy or receive from others isn't legal at all as this link suggests. However, in this case, calling Adobe themselves will prove the lies that these sites generate.

All you need is the serial number, Adobe can in fact verify if that number is valid or not before you even complete the transaction on these sites. Just 2 days ago a person was able to buy their software from E-bay and have it declared legal by Adobe themselves via a simple phone call.

Adobe does NOT sell previous versions of their software on their site and most of those people who do buy from E-bay and the like are doing just that, purchasing previous versions no longer available. Very few will buy current versions from auction sites, those versions are usually received other ways, or if they're honest, they'll get the trial and have it extended.

Buying student copies of the software doesn't allow you to use that software for profit, but you can still use your student discount on FULL versions. There is a difference between buying a full version with your discount and buying a student version. However, the discount isn't as big as some claim. You are actually paying MORE then even the upgrade price for that software. Where's the discount in that?  People prefer buying their software from places where they're sure of getting a cheaper price.

I highly doubt Adobe is going to make it that difficult for people to buy legal software from other venues.

The link is below, however, be aware that should you provide valid proof that purchases made from E-bay, etc. are still legally valid and do still allow you to register your software, they won't approve your comment.
