Beware of sites like Pro Design Tools.

Some sites try to scare people in thinking that software that you LEGALLY buy or receive from others isn't legal at all as this link suggests. However, in this case, calling Adobe themselves will prove the lies that these sites generate.

All you need is the serial number, Adobe can in fact verify if that number is valid or not before you even complete the transaction on these sites. Just 2 days ago a person was able to buy their software from E-bay and have it declared legal by Adobe themselves via a simple phone call.

Adobe does NOT sell previous versions of their software on their site and most of those people who do buy from E-bay and the like are doing just that, purchasing previous versions no longer available. Very few will buy current versions from auction sites, those versions are usually received other ways, or if they're honest, they'll get the trial and have it extended.

Buying student copies of the software doesn't allow you to use that software for profit, but you can still use your student discount on FULL versions. There is a difference between buying a full version with your discount and buying a student version. However, the discount isn't as big as some claim. You are actually paying MORE then even the upgrade price for that software. Where's the discount in that?  People prefer buying their software from places where they're sure of getting a cheaper price.

I highly doubt Adobe is going to make it that difficult for people to buy legal software from other venues.

The link is below, however, be aware that should you provide valid proof that purchases made from E-bay, etc. are still legally valid and do still allow you to register your software, they won't approve your comment.

The Dancing Duo

June 4, 2010, 6:00pmToday, my son went to a Meet & Greet at his school. So far he has to go through another meeting with the assistant principal to determine whether he becomes an official kindergartner or has to wait another year.

We're gonna be working with him the entire weekend and hopes he gets approved. It's been a lifelong dream that he attend the same school I did and let's hope this time it's fulfilled. Daughter didn't quite make cause they didn't have kindergarten then, it went downhill ever since. So let's hope this time works...

October 28, 2011 10:35pm - Guess I should update this. He didn't get to attend due to financial difficulties. However, I'm going to try again in February to get him a scholarship to attend. I won't give up this time and that's a promise!!

Is blogger fixed or is it just a test to see if we notice!?

So, it looks as if blogger has fixed its log-in glitch. Or did they? Hard to tell really as the first blog I went to still showed me as not signed in, but when I checked my own blogs it finally worked to show me 'logged in'.

Who knows, but for it to take months to fix doesn't leave me feeling that this is going to stop any future similar glitches or that future bugs will be fixed in a timely matter.

UPDATE:
Obviously Google/Blogger really don't want their users to continue using their services for blogging as once again many keep getting logged out just for clicking on "View Blog" in their dashboards. Also, the only way around this issue is to untick the "stay signed in" when you first log on to the site! Huh? Isn't the whole point of that little option so that you do NOT have to log in every single time you wish to edit or view your or other people's blogs?  How long is that little work around going to stand up?

You would think that by now they would have fixed this huge glitch in their system, but they simply don't seem to care anymore. I've been transferring my content elsewhere lately and soon I'll be completely leaving Blogger permanently.

Almost Summer

It's almost time for summer again and this is going to be a good one. Daughter will be with me for 2 months straight starting July 11. This will be interesting to say the least.

Anyway, my kids are growing up fast. Daughter is 13 soon to be 14 in Aug. Son will be 6 in September and he's already going to be a hoot. All I need now to be complete is to win the lotto or to land a very lucrative job. Of course that will also mean I can have a new house and new car. Ok so right now it's only a dream, but sometimes dreams do come true and I hope mine does before I turn 50.

Hope you all have a wonderful summer if you don't hear from me before then.

Off to choir practice and then to class tomorrow morning.

Updates!

Apparently there is an issue with Blogger. We keep getting logged out when we visit our own blogs as well as when we visit others. Can't comment cause it keeps requesting you to sign in even though you actually are in fact signed in.

I wanted to comment on a friends blog recently, so I logged in and continued to their site, proceeded to click on reply and it said I needed to log in, I click sign in and guess what?! I was in fact already logged in, tried again to comment, and good lawd, I'm getting asked to sign in again. What is the deal, and why has nothing been done yet.

I've did some searching to find others who may also have this problem and since February 2011, others have in fact issued this exact thing and nothing has been done since then. Sure there's been options on how to 'fix' the issue, but none of those worked.

So now what? Is Blogger going the way of other blogging services and are actually closing their doors. If they're not closing, then why hasn't this issue been fixed before now!?
Only time will tell I guess, in the meantime, I can't comment to my friends blogs unless they allow non-members to reply...
